Welcome to my Talk page!

Hello Deborah, it's good to see you around here too. I am collaborating a bit around here but there are so many Wikis who need Sysops ... one of the worst it is the Somali. If you need to delete something, write to me. Best regards. DARIO SEVERI (talk) 13:48, 3 Ekatshazimpuzi 2018 (UTC)

Thanks, dear and stalwart sysop, and of course I was pleased but not surprised to see you around here. I arrived due to some Facebook discussion about the recently deceased Winnie Madikizela-Mandela amid the turmoil of Israel's poor handling of "our" African asylum-seeker population. I'm now waiting to hear from User:Nomden in hopes we can coordinate activities here. Meanwhile I wish you success with the SO WP - you can understand why my focus is on the South African languages with under-1K content pages. -- Deborahjay (talk) 13:59, 3 Ekatshazimpuzi 2018 (UTC)

Pages for deletion[Yenza izilungiso kokubhaliweyo]

Hi Deborah, I read the message that you wrote to Nomden and I went to see the page [1]. Most articles in the section 'Interwiki spam" engabalulekanga kwiXH okanye ZA' are too short to be encyclopedic, (please see Banovci (Nijemci)). Let's wait for her response. Sincerely. DARIO SEVERI (talk) 16:32, 23 Ekatshazimpuzi 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for weighing in, dear Dario - I entirely agree. While the XH WP remains understaffed, plus sparse in many more relevant geographic pages for South Africa and globally (e.g., the ZU WP thanks to User:Oisteadman's great contributions of years past), my belief is that future editing here would be wasted on improving the pages I noted. Hence my suggestion to delete them, just with User:Nomden's involvement. Looking forward to positive progress! -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 18:13, 23 Ekatshazimpuzi 2018 (UTC)
Hi Deborah, I'm waiting for the answer from Nomden. I deleted some article. I'm going to be away for a week from the project ... traveling with the grandchildren :) Best regards DARIO SEVERI (talk) 16:24, 27 Ekatshazimpuzi 2018 (UTC)
Nice work, @DARIO SEVERI:, and nice reason to take a Wikibreak! Enjoy, and until you check back in here I'll keep making improvements as shown on "Amaphepha Abalulekileyo" (Special pages) and Random pages. Ciao! -- Deborahjay (talk) 19:44, 27 Ekatshazimpuzi 2018 (UTC)

Shalom. Sorry I don;t understand what you mean in your message. Could you tell me more, please? --Katxis (talk) 10:06, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

Shalom u'vracha, Katxis. Thank you for your interest. My activity in the XH WP focuses on format, categorizing, resolving red links, etc. picked up from Amaphepha Abalulekileyo (Special pages). My hope is to collaborate with veteran active users with native-level isiXhosa such as User:Nomden, and I progress as best I can in their absence (also on the ZU WP). As I have no knowledge of the language other than the quite-inadequate Google Translate, I'm unqualified to place the "Candidates for speedy deletion" template on suspected pages - so I devised an interim practice: I list them, according to apparent problem, on Category talk:Candidates for speedy deletion for future consideration by XH-speaking editors plus seasoned sysops of the m:Small Wiki Monitoring Team. Your input is appreciated. -- Cheers, Deborahjay (talk) 19:12, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
