Hi,
Currenty its manual. I was looking up some Xhosa translation to translate english template to Xhosa. I just copy some example of short Xhosa sentences. Looking for someone from native speaker to assist translate template to Xhosa. Then I can apply for bot status here also. CTMakerbot (talk) 03:28, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
- You might prefer to edit as Yosri then. I am not a native speaker of Xhosa, but I do have some experience on the Zulu wikis (very closely related language). If you need a native speaker, I can ask someone to provide translations. But, honestly, I'm not sure we need a lot of pages about places in Indonesia right now. We have no local bureaucrats, so I'm not sure you could get a bot here without a local discussion. And automatic approval/global bot status does not apply in this case. - Hi, I just want to translate the template and let the local user decide if he/she can /want to make use of it. I just provide the data (75K in total), since I also have no spare time to update 2 Wiki at same time. I may do some translation to test viability. Hopefully the activities will attract other user to contribute. Can also promote the site at Xhosa translation pages. This ID focus on place/locations translations via. templates. - Sorry, was away a sec. Most of the info is static, except for leaders name, which why I plan to use template. Wikidata seems to have problem, last time I check. Something about not yet implemented http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikidata/Notes/Inclusion_syntax_v0.4#Properties_of_different_items CTMakerbot (talk) 10:03, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
ps: About "Ndiyeke", I was thinking along the line, of a tourist being hassle by native, have a need to tell him to go away. :) CTMakerbot (talk) 10:10, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)- The template is not restricted to Indonesia, and can be applied to any settlements in any part of the world, with the variable allowing it to be adapted to local conditions. This template allow superior information delivery, with one glance it give overall country info (IE, basic countries info and it's locations in this world at top half) and specific local settlement information at bottom half. User do not have to navigate several pages for brief overview about the countries where the settlement is located. It does seem to encounter some problem by remaining on the left of the pages, and not moving to the right at the moment. CTMakerbot (talk) 17:21, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
- It's running fine in MS, just that I want to expend the concept, that it is workable for any language, and I just choose at random from small Wikis. CTMakerbot (talk) 17:26, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
- Should be on the right side now. PiRSquared17 (talk) 17:34, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
- That is why it's staying in user page, pending native speakers verifications / discussions. CTMakerbot (talk) 17:38, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
- Did you fix the template position. Thank you, I was rather stump there. I am planning to hand over the article creations, once the concept is proven to be workable. I just wish to provide them with a tools. I belief that the same concept can also be applied to others type of templates. IE, High schools etc... etc... etc... CTMakerbot (talk) 18:04, 14 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)

7. Region=???

- XXXX economy is dependent on (fishing/agricultural/industry) activities.
- The postcode for XXXX is YYYY.
- "Ikhowudi yePosi: YYYY" = "Postal code: YYYY". The "P" may be lowercase. Not sure about the XXXX part. It might depend on what XXXX is. You probably need the possessive concord and/or locative. Better to ask a native just in case.
- Village=???
- Town = idolophu?
- City = idolophu? use isixeko to distinguish - Don't have time for more right now
- District = Isithili
- Region= Ingingqi
- State=Isizwe???
- XXXX is a Isivumelwano (village?) which is located in (YYYY district), (ZZZZ main district), (AAAA State), Indonesia.
- My Xhosa is not that good, but I think that "Isivumelwano" = "agreement", "contract", "covenant".
- Number of people in XXXX is YYYY people. AAAA males and BBBB bhinqileyo.
Tried something last week
[Yenza izilungiso kokubhaliweyo]So i just found an online Xhosa - English dictionary and started making xh pages with a photo from commons and a stub link. and then the next week user:Nomden made a ton of new edits!!! Maybe that's a way to make it work? Victorgrigas (talk) 17:56, 21 Eyo Kwindla 2014 (UTC)
- I'm very excited about the recent activity, including your edits. User:Nomden, a native speaker, may be just what this wiki needs. The Sinenjongo students also did a good job with pages like Robben island. PiRSquared17 (talk) 00:36, 23 Eyo Kwindla 2014 (UTC)
- Yeah I'm excited too - I just ordered a Xhosa-English dictionary from amazon.com so i can keep making articles this way. I had a thought that maybe the visual editor helped? Do you know of any way to see if an edit was made with or without visual editor?Victorgrigas (talk) 02:52, 23 Eyo Kwindla 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, it is quite possible to tell whether or not VisualEditor was used for an edit. A tag appears in Special:RecentChanges, Special:Contributions, and the diff (e.g. here). You can filter RC and contribs by tag. Do you know Xhosa grammar? I tried to learn Xhosa and Zulu before, but did not get far. Ndiyafuna ukufunda isiXhosa. (I am looking/want to learn Xhosa.) PiRSquared17 (talk) 12:22, 23 Eyo Kwindla 2014 (UTC)
- No, I don't know one bit of Xhosa! I'm looking in dictionaries to start pages. I have a campaign here to raise funds for some Xhosa speakers I know to get some laptops, and I think when that happens there will be some more additions. Do you live in South Africa? I'm in ChicagoVictorgrigas (talk) 17:21, 23 Eyo Kwindla 2014 (UTC)
- No, I'm not from South Africa, but I'd like to help. PiRSquared17 (talk) 23:00, 23 Eyo Kwindla 2014 (UTC)

- Hey would you like to help me to translate the bits of this Wikipedia that are still in English? Right now it's sort of half and half. Victorgrigas (talk) 03:56, 2 Ekatshazimpuzi 2014 (UTC)
- You should probably ask someone like Nomden who speaks the language. The interface should be translated on translatewiki:. PiRSquared17 (talk) 20:38, 2 Ekatshazimpuzi 2014 (UTC)
- Although I will be happy to help as much as I can. PiRSquared17 (talk) 20:43, 2 Ekatshazimpuzi 2014 (UTC)
- Bantakwethu!!! (Dear friends!!!), this looks good to me. What you have done so far is wonderful. South africa is made up of small towns (some of them are referred to as villages because they have only one main street. We grew up knowing these areas as "iidolophu" (singular - idolophu). May be you are right by referring to city as 'isixeko' in this context because cities are bigger than towns as they have more than one main or big streets--Nomden (talk) 08:01, 24 Ekatshazimpuzi 2014 (UTC)
