Hello. PiRSquared17 (talk) 00:38, 20 Eyesilimela 2013 (UTC)
Cool. I'm only here for Joburgpedia but I end up working on Benedict Wallet Vilakazi and en:Tutu House. Can you help? We could do with a xh:Tutu House. Check out Gandhi house and David Webster House on en: Would you care to tell others? We are going to have QRpedia labels in xh:! Victuallers (talk) 16:25, 22 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
I don't speak enough Xhosa to translate those articles. However, I can point you to someone who has access to native Xhosa speakers. m:User talk:Vgrigas. Have you considered having Zulu as well? If you want a Tswana translation of that (Desmond Tutu is of Tswana descent), then I'd point you to tn:User:Oarabile Mudongo, who is very nice. Do you actually want to translate the articles or the title? I believe that "umzi" means "house" (maybe not the same sense), and you probably need a concord or other grammatical element before the name. PiRSquared17 (talk) 01:33, 23 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
P.S. Are you collaborating with WMZA? They should be able to find users to translate these pages.
Hi PiRSquared17 - I think we have Zulu on the list. I have been exchanging comments via Facebook with Oarabile who has these articles on his list of things to do!! The collaboration with WMZA is 100% - it is they who have made this happen. I'm just over the moon that Wikipedia has a QR code on the side of Gandhi's house AND its in lots of other languages apart from the usususl European suspects :-). Thanks for the tip about Tutu being of Tswana cultural backbround - I will ask Oarabile for especial attention. Victuallers (talk) 09:50, 29 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
It should be fairly easy to get people to translate any of these articles to Afrikaans. Afwiki has a quite active userbase, compared to the other South African language wikis (excl. English, obviously). PiRSquared17 (talk) 01:10, 30 Eye Khala 2013 (UTC)
